The photograph above is the very top of the north ridge above Gold Valley. I call this scene, "The Top Of The World." You can see for many miles. It is about 6 miles from our camp and a 2 hour trail. This is also another way into Gold Valley when the snow pack melts. Sometimes not until August.

I might explain further that all the backgrounds were found and created with Carol in mind, knowing what she loves and enjoys. That is why some of the backgrounds are unusual.
This next Poem I found in one of my books of Poetry
         Walk Slowly

If you should go before me, Dear, walk slowly
Down the ways of death, well-worn and wide,
For I would want to overtake you quickly
And seek the journey's ending by your side.

I would be so forlorn not to descry you
Down some shining highroad when I came,
Walk slowly, Dear, and often look behind you
And pause to hear if someone calls your name.

Another Beautiful Poem I found in my books.
Rainbow - Room
Almost any Rainbow
  Finds a place to start,
In a rain - stained Heaven,
Or a tear - stained Heart.
                  ~ Lillian Everts
This next Poem was given to me by my good friend Gerri Smith. What the Poem say's is true.
                                                                       Thank You Gerri
What Cancer Cannot Do
"Cancer is so Limited,
It Cannot Cripple Love,
It Cannot Shatter Hope,
It Cannot Destroy Faith,
It Cannot Destroy Peace,
It Cannot Kill Friendships,
It Cannot Suppress Memories,
It Cannot Silence Courage,
It Cannot Invade the Soul,
It Cannot Steal Eternal Life,
It Cannot Conquer the Spirit."

More short Poems and Quotes I found in my books.
Lord, grant that I may
  seek to comfort rather
  Than be comforted;
To Love rather than be Loved.
                      ~ Mother Teresa

We can do no great things,
Only small things with Great Love.
                              ~ Mother Teresa

Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My Mother.
                                  ~ Jane Taylor

Give your troubles to God;
He will be up all night anyway.

   Those who bring sunshine
           To lives of others
Cannot keep it from themselves.
