Photograph above is the Jeeps on Carol's Little Deer Lake Run above Gold Valley. It is the roughest trail in and around Gold Valley. It was also Carol's favorite. The rougher the trail was the better Carol liked it. The trail is 9 miles long, starting from camp. This Trail will destroy a larger rig or one that's not set-up for rock crawling.
The Following Poem was taken from a card my Mother and Father, Harold and Dorothy Schneider, San Leandro, California sent shortly after Carol passed away.                                                                                Thank You Mom and Dad
     The Door That Never Closes

There's a door that never closes,
though it opens but one way -
It's the door that leads to Heaven
at the end of life's long day.
          It's the threshold of forever
where the heart is always glad,
          It's respite for the weary
and a comfort for the sad.
It's the door to peace and healing
and the door to joy and grace.
Where the Master greets each guest by name
             and a warm embrace.
And the loved ones who pass through
into the light that's shining there
Find a sweet and perfect home
             within our Father's loving care.

                      A Special Gift

                                                                        In this world.
                                             There are many special things.
                                                        It could be cars.
                                                Or maybe diamond rings.
                                                             But to me.
                                               Only one thing stands out.
And that's the gift everyone's about.
                                                                   Life.
                                                           Why you ask.
                                                       Because without it.
                                                   There would be no me.
                                                     I hold life very dear.
                                              And celebrate it every year.
                                                When I see someone sick.
                                                              I ask why.
                                                  Why is this persons gift.
                                                    Being stripped away.
                                                      All I ask is please.
Please do not take your gift for granted.
                                                                 Life.
                                                           Treasure it.
                                                               Hold it.
                                                               Love it.
Never, ever take it as a right.
                                                   Remember it's a gift.
                                                                 Life.
