"Heavens Treasure"
The following Beautiful Poem was written for me by My good friend Hanne in British Columbia, Canada after she viewed My Memorial for Carol and read what I had written about Sacred Ridge. The picture above I created from a photograph of Sacred Ridge. The Grandkids love picking the differant wild flowers that abound around the area, but they don't pick them on the Sacred Ridge side because it is Sacred Ground and also those are their Grandma's flowers.
                                                                     Thank You Hanne
            THE TREASURE OF SACRED RIDGE

As you walk the path of the Valley
Keep these thoughts close to your heart
The stars that shine brilliance so heavenly
Are the twinkling eyes of love...for you're never far apart

See not the raindrops as tears of loss on her face
But as joy for all that is love she does see
For the Valley holds a sacred place
Of love once shared...a love that will always be

See the sunshine bursting forth as rays of her love
Casting rainbows of colors across the sky like a bridge
For there is a treasured heart that soars on the Eagle's wing above
The Gold in the Valley is the love once shared...the love of Sacred Ridge

The following is from Hanne's E-Mail sends. It is on all of her E-Mails and I have come to love the saying. It describes my wife Carol and several new friends I have made. Sandy, Hanne, Claudia, Melodie (Dee), Paulette, Barbara, Melanie and Spirit Wolf. The nice thing is that they are still in my life.                                             The Author is unknown

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts,
and they are never, ever the same..."

The following was taken from a card sent by our friends Bill and June McKinlay, Tillamook, Oregon shortly after Carol left us.                                                                           Thank You Bill and June

                The Rose Beyond The Wall

A rose once grew where all could see,
                                             sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...
One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide -
The rose bent gently towards its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side...
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted - the rose blooms there -
                                          Its beauty even greater now,
nutured by God's own loving care.

The photograph above is of Sacred Ridge. Spirit Mountain is the high peak above. Many evenings we would go over to the ridge and watch falling stars and once in a while see a satalite go over. One year we all saw a comet which was very beautiful. To this day we still go over and watch the falling stars with Carol on Sacred Ridge.
