"Heavens Treasure"
The Photograph above was taken on the day we scattered Carol's ashes. This is now Sacred Ridge. This is the first and last time the Jeeps will touch her Sacred Ground in Respect. As the photograph shows the way up was very steep and rough. We crossed Pauley Creek below camp and the crossing was difficult because of large boulders and rocks. The Jeeps will never cross over again.
This sketch I had forgot about. It was done by a fellow worker where the two of us used to work. About a year after Carol was taken, I was going through the desk sorting through papers and such. In one of the bottom drawers I found this sketch folded and badly wrinkled. I almost cried when I saw the condition of it. I then thought, I wonder if I can restore it. I got the iron out and put a sheet on the kitchen table and then lightly sprayed a fine mist of water on it then folded the sheet over it and sprayed it. I then took the iron to it and gently worked it completly over it until the sheet was dry. I folded the sheet back and saw that it was starting to take the small wrinkles out. I proceeded to do the same procedure a few more times and found all the small wrinkles gone, but the folds were still bad. I then got one of my artist brushes and a small glass of water and then wet the fold creases with the wet soft brush and then carefully started working the iron on the creases and after long patient hours I had fully restored it as you see it. The original is 12" by 15", that is framed now and hanging on the living room wall. This took me about 3 hours to do

The above is a card I carry in my wallet to this day. Two weeks before Carol left us she asked our Daughter Vicky if she would go to the store for her and told her what she wanted. Vicky was gone for awhile and she came back with this card. Carol, weak as she was, signed it and later gave it to me. Later after Carol was taken, I saw that Carol's signature was starting to show signs of wear. I had it laminated with the Photograph of Carol sealed in it. I often take it out and read it and look at the photograph on the back

The above photograph I made copy's of and wrote a poem and attached it to the back of the photograph. I gave each member of the family one, even the Grand Children and told them that anytime they feel sad to take the photograph out and look at it and read the poem. I still do to this day until I join Carol and then hand in hand, we'll follow our dreams.

Not long after God took Carol, some people had said, It will be nice when closure is over for you. My reaction was and still is, closure will never be over. I wear both Carol's and my Wedding Rings next to each other. I believe in God's eye's, we are still married and always will be. We are just seperated for a short time.
